Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino is day-to-day after taking an A.J. Burnett fastball off his right index finger in Game 5 of the World Series on Monday.

On the Phillies' website, Victorino indicated he was ready to play Wednesday in Game 6, though manager Charlie Manuel said he will be evaluated before the game prior to making a decision.

Victorino stayed in the game after being hit with the pitch in the first inning but went hitless in his next three at-bats while clearly favoring his right hand. He was replaced in center field by Ben Francisco in the eighth inning.

The Phillies' No. 2 hitter in the lineup is batting .296 in the 2009 playoffs with three homers and nine RBI.

The Yankees currently hold a 3-2 series lead heading back to the Bronx.
